Description
This class will take around 4 hours and include the full print process for making a drypoint plate. It can be a bit messy, so bring an apron or wear clothes that won’t be ruined with black ink. No printmaking experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. By the end of the class, everybody will have some general context for what intaglio printmaking is and what materials can be used to create different print effects, as well as hands-on experience in a beginner-friendly method with accessible materials. If you’d like to plan your print ahead of time, feel free to bring reference images to work from. The plates will be 5″x7″ clear acrylic so tracing is also an option if you’d like, just be sure the image you want to trace is the right size.
